Overall Recap
Hard to believe that a month of summer is already over! I must say I am loving it this year though! Now that I’m officially 30 pounds (plus a little bit) down I’m feeling lighter and better and excited for the next 30. So I’m sure that has something to do with it!
The month kind of flew by, we were super busy doing all sorts of things. I started my new job which as been great so far and I’m enjoying it. Its not too difficult and the work I’ve been doing so far is right up my ally so I’m enjoying it. Still editing but since it’s been slower and I have more time it’s been nice to fill my days with some additional work. The extra paycheck has been nice as well and Paul and I have devised a plan to pay off almost all of our debt within the next year or so. Now if we can sell the RV and get his DV up, we will be in a really good position for the next few years to get as much into retirement as possible so we can FOR SURE retire by 60. That is our goal!
We had our 14 year anniversary and we celebrated with some great friends at a fun new restaurant in town. We also went on a “quick” trip to El Paso for Fathers Day weekend so see our grandbaby and Kyle and Serina. It was so good to see and spend time with them.
We spent a lot of time in the pool and soaking up the sun. Had a few people over for pool parties and I also had a fantastic reading month.
To start July, we are headed to Alb for a weekend trip, I have an instagram challenge for myself and we are gearing up and getting ready for Alaska at the end of August. Could NOT be more excited for that trip. So far, summer 2025 is gearing up to be one for the books!

Favorite things:
I bought a few of these tops last year and now I need to buy them in a smaller size because I’m swimming in them. But I absolutely love them and want one in every color!
Books I Read this month:
All of my reviews can be found on my GoodReads page
Favorite: Culpability by Bruce Holsinger
What is God teaching me right now?
That I need Him every moment of every day. Today especially I am feeling weak and powerless in my own struggle for control and power. Nothing in my life means anything without Him as the center of it and I have been failing. I’m so grateful and humbled that He is there waiting for me every time I fall.
Fave memory from the month?
Our weekend trip to El Paso is probably the most memorable from this month. We spent two LONG days driving and two HOT days there doing all sorts of things with Kyle and Serina getting ready for the party and then of course the party itself. We loved seeing them, but we are pretty sure next time we are going to fly! LOL.
